Gayle Knapp of
Keletica: Distinctive, Artistic, Imaginative Jewelry Design
Gayle Knapp of Keletica draws on the beauty of nature for inspiration in her jewelry designs.
She has been a rock-hound for as long as she can remember and sees art in the stones.
Generally, a beautiful stone serves as the focal point and directs the design.
Trained as a scientist, Gayle has a strong quantitative side which also shows in the geometry of her designs.
But it is her love of the outdoors that truly shines through.
Her jewelry is composed principally of natural materials—stone, shell, and /or wood--
with metal and glass beads for design accent.
An avid hiker and trailrunner, Gayle often finds focal stones for designs along the trail.
They trip her (and her imagination) with the obvious art in them.
These native Utah (or other regional) stones are wirewrapped for use as pendants either
sold separately or incorporated into designs.
Whether running or shopping, she says,
“I am always on the lookout for intriguing stones,
making my jewelry appeal to the shopper looking for the unique
as well as the naturalist and 'rock-hound'.”
